Capitol West Side Projects Final Environmental Impact Report - March 2006
The State of California Department of General Services (DGS) has completed the Final Environmental Impact Report (Final EIR) in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the proposed Capitol West Side Projects, consisting of the West End Office Complex and the Central Plant Renovation projects.
The FEIR consists of a description and analysis of Central Plant Alernative 2a, a subalternative to Alternative 2 described in the Draft EIR (DEIR); a list of persons, public agencies and organizations commenting on the DEIR; the comments received; and a response to those comments; and revisions to the Draft EIR.
In accordance with the provisions of CEQA Section 21092.5(a) and state CEQA Guidelines Section 15088(b), copies of the Final EIR were distributed on Friday March 24, 2006 to public agencies that commented on the Draft EIR. As the lead agency for this project, the Department of General Services (DGS) is anticipated to consider EIR certification and project approval at or following completion of the 10-day statutory review period. Upon certification and approval community members will be updated via the project website.
